I LOVE the song by Gungor, Beautiful Things. Every time I hear the song it makes me cry. I typed out the lyrics below so you can take a moment and cry too. It doesn’t matter how sad I am I always love the reminder that God makes what seems like something so difficult, useless, or terrible and makes it into something more beautiful than you can ever imagine. I like thinking about the song literally. I imagine God taking my vacuum bag filled with nasty dust and gunk and making something beautiful. Or, I like to think about how beautiful the world He created is and how dusty it is. Maybe that last one is a stretch, but it never stops amazing me how God fills me with hope just by showing me something beautiful.
My husband and I went on an amazing road trip last year. 
We stopped at this place in Oregon called Crater Lake. It literally took my breath away.. No seriously, I passed out at the top of the volcano. Long story short, I cut my finger, saw the blood, and I was down for the count. I know its hard to see the crater in the background, but it is basically a giant volcano that exploded many years ago and then the center filled with the bluest water you have ever seen. It was truly something only God could do.
My point in all of this is, don’t be discouraged. You are God’s prize and He makes beautiful things out of us.
